My Rekcah Comics Kickstarter finally arrived! I've been a comic book fan since 2015, and my love for the medium has only grown over the years. There’s something magical about storytelling through art, the way panels bring action to life, and the immersive worlds that creators build. But what happens when you combine that love of comics with hacking? That’s exactly what Rekcah Comics is doing with The Future Is ******, and I couldn’t be more excited.

As a tech enthusiast with a passion for learning and experimenting, I decided to secure and organize my home network using VLANs (Virtual Local Area Networks). When I set out to do this fun project, I was inspired by two excellent resources: Lenin Alevski’s blog post “Pfsense + UDM + VLANs: The Perfect Home Network” and Gerard O’Brien’s Ultimate Cybersecurity Lab series.  Their insights helped me envision and implement a VLAN-based network that not only secures my devices but also provides a playground for learning cybersecurity. In this post, I’ll walk you through my setup, which utilizes an ASUS GT-AX11000 router, a $10 Steren switch, and Proxmox to host a Cybersecurity Home Lab.

Tools like Rufus have been popular for ages, but let’s face it, they can be a bit limiting, especially if you’re trying to juggle multiple ISO files on one USB stick or if you're like me and have dozens of USBs lying around everywhere. Say hello to Ventoy, a refreshing alternative that makes creating bootable USBs way more flexible and super easy to use. Let’s dive into what Ventoy is all about, why it’s such a cool alternative to tools like Rufus, and how you can set it up to boot multiple OS images effortlessly.

Attending Defcon32 this year was a phenomenal experience. Not only did I reconnect with old friends, but I also had the opportunity to meet new people and see some new tech at the villages. As I was guiding some new friends around the event, something caught my eye—a guy outside the Bug Bounty Village was handing a volunteer a bag full of shiny objects. My instinct kicked in, and I immediately knew what they were: Challenge Coins!
