My Rekcah Comics Kickstarter finally arrived! I've been a comic book fan since 2015, and my love for the medium has only grown over the years. There’s something magical about storytelling through art, the way panels bring action to life, and the immersive worlds that creators build. But what happens when you combine that love of comics with hacking? That’s exactly what Rekcah Comics is doing with The Future Is ******, and I couldn’t be more excited.
When I first discovered the Kickstarter, I instantly knew it was something special. The idea of real Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges seamlessly integrated into every issue had me hooked. It felt like a dream project, tailor-made for someone like me—a comic book nerd with a deep passion for hacking. But just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, they dropped an even bigger surprise: the series would span five years, with new issues releasing every month, each packed with stunning artwork. Not gonna lie—when I read that update, I couldn’t contain my excitement. Let’s just say a few celebratory air punches were definitely thrown!
The day my Kickstarter package arrived, I was immediately blown away by the sheer quality of the book. The artwork is absolutely breathtaking—bold, futuristic, and packed with intricate details that bring the story to life. Ennio Bufi and Andrea Meloni have done an outstanding job, crafting a visually immersive world that pulls you in from the very first page. Every panel is meticulously designed, creating an experience that rivals the very best in the comic book industry. But beyond the stunning visuals, what truly sets this series apart is its interactive element.
Each issue comes with a set of CTF challenges woven into the narrative, making the reading experience more than just passive entertainment—it’s an invitation to engage, to think critically, and to learn. I can already tell that this series is going to be an incredible introduction to hacking for so many comic fans who might never have considered dipping their toes into cybersecurity. It’s a brilliant way to bridge two seemingly separate worlds, and I can’t wait to see where it goes over the next five years.
